Are you allergic to happiness?

Or perhaps you are just sceptical about the value of learning how to be happier in life – whatever the circumstances. In January 2011 the BBC ran a series of programmes highlighting the growing evidence about how we can all learn to raise our levels of happiness. Many people were astounded by how easy it was to integrate and practice simple changes in their daily routine and reap amazing benefits. I have utilised this evidence so that you too can create a personal recipe for a more enjoyable life. Please contact us by email or phone for further details.

Really stuck and nothing else has helped?

If this has been your experience and you really want to change direction, see the problem from a different perspective and then focus on new and appealing solutions, I would recommend the RESC-Q weekend training programme. This can be an effective way of helping you manage even chronic debilitationg conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndromme, anxiety or OCD.  During the training you will learn how to put a stop to the ‘runaway train’ of unwanted feelings and behaviours and get back in control of your life. More than this you will find out what will help you personally achieve the positive changes you want and with practice keep them. Please contact us for further details.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) sometimes referred to as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) or Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome, is characterized by persistent or relapsing unexplained fatigue often resulting in severe impairment in daily functioning.

A standard definition2 includes fatigue which:-

  • Lasts for at least 6 months
  • Is of new or definite onset
  • Is not the result of an organic disease or of continuing exertion
  • Is not attenuated by rest
  • Results in a substantial reduction in previous occupational, educational, social and personal activities.

NLP is about understanding and modeling the structure of personal success and excellence. It is based on how rather than why people think and behave in a particular way or pattern. Because modeling successful performance can lead to excellence, NLP has helped people achieve success in fields as diverse as health and wellbeing, education, sport and management. NLP comes from the three areas it brings together:

NLP, Hypnosis, Life Coaching, Training Programmes -  which approach is most effective?

I think the answer depends on you, what your issues are and what you want. For many people NLP and Hypnotherapy can be of great value in helping them make major shifts in their experience quickly and comfortably.

Some of the reasons why I find a combined approach is helpful are that:

  • I can help you shift the focus from ‘the problem’ to an effective solution.
  • Many people like the idea of personal coaching even though they have similar issues to those who choose therapy.
  • In our extended training programmes I will help you to enhance your self-coaching skills. Changing your negative internal dialogue, being good to yourself, helps you navigate your way through life even when sitiuations are challenging.
  • I will help you identify what you want (in terms of outcomes) and where appropriate, what action to take to achieve that outcome. After that there is a clear understanding that further change is up to you. Of course I will provide you with support and follow up when you need it.
  • There is significant value in having an experienced professional trainer and coach who is committed to help you achieve the outcomes you want.

For many of the issues mentioned in the top right panel an initial one-to-one session may help us to identify which is the best way of managing the change you want.
